i did my research and i removed the center console started on putting WD40 every where and trying to fiddle with the stick nothing is happening the linkage do not seem rusted is it the linkage or the internal parts ?
and do i have to remoove the 4 bolts on the top of the t case ?
Thanks

nice pics, looks like my '97
1st, keep oiling and tapping on stuff.

the side to side motion for case lockup is that left/right shaft moving sideways in the case. it corrodes in the aluminum case so you can't see rust. I put a crowbr outside on the right and hit it to the left with a hammer. once you break it loose it'll act like it was never stuck.

the sales guy jerked my hi/lo free when I bought my truck (yikes!)

On reassembly, I filled that square with castrol gear lube

Everyone who's done it says it's a pain - mine took over an hour

luck,greg
