I am having trouble getting my 1994 Discovery to turn over. There is power to initiate the starting process but it dies shortly after. It attempts to start and then dies like it is not receiving enough fuel. I tried spraying starting fluid into the air intake and nothing happened. If anybody could give me an idea. I am not sure if it would be a fuel filter, fuel pump, or O2 sensor. Hopefully it is something easier.

Does the engine keep turning over AND there's no ignition (i.e. lack of fuel) or does it stop turning over after a bit?

From what I interpret, it could be an electrical problem. When something like what you describe happened to mine, the starter needed replacing, but not before ruining the battery from trying. It could be any number of things, though, start with the easy stuff...
