Default Trying to find out where a vacuum hose goes

Okay this is on a 97 Discovery

The hose is located at the very rear of the intake cover. It somes out on the driverside and is a short piece of hose. It is the only hose coming out of this area and I cannot seem to be able to find where this hose is suspose to go. Looking at the engine from the driverside this hose is located right behind and under the thottle area.

Anybdy have any thoughts on this

Define intake cover? do you mean rocker cover or air intake filter box cover? or what?

I can check for you but need to know the specs of your truck and engine and where you think it is from.

It is a 4.0L 1997 Discovery. The cover is the intake cover (it sits right up on top and is labeled 4.0L). It is located at the rear of the intake right after where the raised cover part is. It isn't attached to the cover. The part that hose is coming out of is circular in shape and looks like it is attached to the intake some how, but I cannot get a good look at where exactly the part is attached at. The hose is currently attached to the part coming out/off of the intake and is only a short piece and is located on the driver side.

I am assuming your talking about this vacuum hose. It runs from the rear of the intake to the round fuel pressure regulator.

I feel so stupid after seeing the pics you posted. I cannot get a good look around the engine compartment due to lack of movement in my knee (getting better, but still holds me back) so when I looked in there I couldn't see the piece on the intake where the hose went. When I got it home, I had my little brother come over and he laughed becuase it was there, took him 2 seconds to put the hose back where it belonged.
