Unhappy Turbo??? Noise

Hey all,

I have a 95 disco with 3.9l V-8 I have noticed that when I shut her down there is a winning noise that I hear.. My dump truck at work does the same thing when I shut her down and its the turbo.. I dont have turbo so can anyone tell me what the noise is?? . Just flabber gasted .. thanks

Alternator going bad? Air Conditioning pump? Pressure lines being relieved? Where does the noise come from... engine bay, tran**, front of the truck, the rear, etc...

perhaps the electric fan? That sounds more in line with what you are talking about. totally normal. But if it starts to make a grinding sound, time to replace as the bearings have gone south.
