Hello,
My Disco 1 insulation liner that is mounted on the underside of the engine hood is drooping mainly over the center to back of the top engine. It is touching the top of the retangular piece that sits on top that says Land Rover 4.0 on it. Sorry, I don't know the official term for it. I pushed on the liner and there was a good bit of distance between the hood and the liner. My hand could almost fit behind it. Is there an adhesive that could keep it stuck to the hood. My concern is the high heat level could release the bond that keeps the liner stuck to the hood. It looks like they didn't put one of those big round tabs in that critical area. Any suggestions that could keep the liner away from touching the top of the engine? Thanks. chrisusvi |

My liner was doing the same thing when I bought my truck two years ago, so I just took off the liner. Haven't missed it at all, and no it doesn't hurt the paint because it gets too hot or anything like that. My 89 RR didn't have a liner when I bought that thing and I drove that truck that way for a year.

I'll remove mine tomorrow! I've been toying with the idea of Rhino Lining the underside of the hood, too. I'll see how it goes without the liner. Peace,

and i realize you say it doesn't damage the paint, but is there a potential for warping the metal from excessive heat or anything?
