Default Vacuum. Is it On.

I know it should be on. 1994 Disco, no cats.

I need help. Because I do not believe my vacuum is functioning. I have a '94 D1 and I bought a can of seafoam to try and I am not getting anything off of the nipple on top the throttle body area... Maybe I just need a diagram but I can not figure this out. How can I check my vacuum...

Is the engine running when you try? Secondly the line might be blocked. Have your tried the vacuum line from the brake booster yet?

If your engine runs, there has to be vacuum, as mentioned check all your hoses for leaks.
Also, if you hd nod no vacuum, your power brakes wouldn't work.

Default I assumed the vacuum was a requirement.

I assumed that the vacuum must be working as the engine itself requires it, but I was trying to read up on the pcv. I feel really uneducated on this whole 'hook up a hose to the can of sea foam' deal right now. That is when I started up my car and pulled the hose coming vertically off of the plenum chamber upper... So does the engine need to warm up, should their be a vacuum off of this line on idle...
