I'm going to do my oil change so what the best size wrench to turn the drain plug. and also can I find this at say home depot or Lowes.
also is it a certain type of wrench monkey metric

1"1/8" standard box end wrench should work. thats wat i use on my 97 D1.

WTF is a "trailer socket wrench"? That's a new one on me.
I use a 12" knuckle buster (Crecent wrench). The drain plugs don't need to be that tight.

Good to hear you enjoyed your work. I replaced the steering box in our ancient F250 Ford today - I enjoyed the work too but just noticed that the bloody steering wheel is upside down now!!! Sometimes I wonder about myself...
