Default whats the difference D1/D2 chassis?

I live way down in New Zealand and have to say getting attachments for my Disco 1 is quite difficult. I really want to put on a winch bar, which NZ has many options for...just not for my truck, as they are all for non Airbag (SRS) Disco's,(mine has airbags SRS) and quite frankly the one srs compliant option I was given was hideous. There are some really nice looking D2 bars on the market though and I was wondering how different the chassis is at the front and if a D2 bar would be able to fit a D1?

The chassis width is identical between both. But now it depends on how your guard of choice looks between the D1 and D2 cosmetically

The non SRS ARB bumper fits SRS equipped trucks, that is the bumper I have.
I dont know if that look suites you or not.

Both chassis are different...D1 chassis is more or less the old RRC chassis which the Defender is largely based on also. D2 chassis is the one made for the second generation RR or P38...Body on the D2 sits lower on the chassis and why the sliders can not be interchanged between the two trucks. Bumpers are not interchangeable and you certainly can not use a D2 frame under a D1 or vice versa....They are two different animals. I own both trucks and even though they drive largely the same, they are very different in every other way...
