What's Under The Hood? - Land Rovers Only

I have no info on the V8 in my '01 other than the minimum specs provided in the owners manual. I understand the '01 was built under BMW management prior to the Ford takeover. Where might I find more detail on this power plant?

I believe your 01 is still a 4.0, same engine block we have had for ever. your's will have the 3rd year Bosh system, this is good, started in 99 and in 02 they went to a 4.6, which is basicily the same engine, just a 1/2" longer stroke and 226HP.
