Default will it ever end!!!

So now the ol money pit needs a new transmission. I swear this disco has had more trouble than any vehicle I've ever owned. I now have 111,000 on it, and it has been in and out of the shop about once a month since November. Plus everything I've replaced at home, from fuel pumps, filters, etc. If I get this trans in, she may have to go. i can't afford to keep replacing EVERYTHING. It may be evel to say on here, but my Jeep i had went 145,000 VERY HARD miles without any major problems! So anyone have a good non stealer shop around Ann Arbor MI for trans work?

I'm not trying to make light of your pain, but does it make sense to dump a vehicle just as you've sorted everything out? Next owner will probably love you.

My '98 has 115,000 miles and I've replaced the VVS and the fuel pump (knock on wood).......may of those miles off road.

Our '96 w/ 86,000 miles got a new R380 tranny and new heads (of course the heads aren't a big surprise on the '96).

I've got 145,000 miles on my Discovery. I've replaced the front CV joints, the rear flex coupler twice, and the fuel pump. knock on wood mine will hold up.

Try Will Tinnery on Discoweb.org. He has great prices on used disco parts, and is very reputable. If I needed a tranny, I'd start with him.

Kieran (not affiliated or even friends with him)
