Just a thought... have you checked the coolant temp sensor for the ECU? Could have crapped out and your getting the wrong mixture at start up.

Once I went through a car wash, my LR died, and it would turn over fine. Everything seemed okay, but it wouldn't start. I thought something had gotten wet, so I let it sit for a couple of hours. I went back and it just turned over. I'm not sure why, but I opened up the passenger side footwell and switched like relays around. There are lots of yellow ones, a couple of green ones, etc. After switching them around, it started right up. I'm still not sure what was wrong, but I promptly went and bought several of each and replaced them. No problem with that since. Might be worth a try...just costs some time.
