Hi, maybe you can help me. I'm looking for Traxide dual kit batterie (usi-160) on my Lr3 2005. I have a lot of electric problem and I change my batterie 2 time last 2 years.

My alternator look good and recharging my batterie normally.

Im working in the north of quebec where temperature are very extrem ( 30 degres summer and -45 winter ).

By experience, do you think this change can help me to preserve my batterie charge during coldest time ? Sometime my dash look like christmas three and flashing and my idle was really low and intermitent.

    Thx in advance.

Do you have a how to to replace the upper tailgate switch? Mine looks to have crapped out (no actuator noise when pressed). Does it just pull out or do I need to remove the licence plate light cover etc?

Bu your files I expect the switch in my LR3 to be hardwired? I don't know if the replacement I ordered has the JAE connector or not.

    part two below

What I am saying is that the outside key will open the drivers door mechanically, (not via the push button), and then the retrieved key will start the 3. The outside key will not start the 3, (only open the door as the start allow electronics are not within the dealer supplied free key fob). I note that you can purchase empty key fobs on eBay. The reason for the key fob is just as a handle for the metal key blank. Anything that retains the blank would be OK, however the LR key fob makes the "key" look like it will do the whole job when it will not even operate the remote, let alone start the 3.

This concept is pretty simple but it requires that the mechanical door lock work. I say this as I exercise my mechanical door lock about twice a year just to make certain it has not frozen from lack of use.
