Have you tried resetting the inerita switch

03 Disco 4.6 SE7 no voltage at fuel pump, nor at white/purple connection at fuse block with key at second position. Fuse block removed, cleaned and carefully reinstalled with all connections good and tight. New relay, CPS, fuel pump.. Good voltage through fuse to relay only. Engine will crank with starting fluid. Checked grounds numerous times. Not sure if related but "service engine" light on without stored codes and door locking system was particullary funky. ECU not pulling thru coil at relay??? If ECU do I have it reprogrammed per VIN and can I reprogram without all door/system lock down features...I just want basic lock/unlock.

I am a brand new 2003 LR Disco SE7 owner, love at 1st sight! She is exactly what I need to tote my growing family around safely & had all of the looks to match. Unfortunately I bought her w/o having my mechanic check her out first and he is telling me that I happened to buy the worst year of Disco. The oil pressure is running really high and he told me if I keep driving without fixing, I will blow the engine. And the known fix, is a new engine and oil pump. Ugh. As that would cost more than I paid to purchase, I am devastated. Mainly heart broken because I already love this car so much. I have been scouring the forums for help, you seem to be the man. I have seen other talk of making sure LR oil filters are installed, replacing cams, etc. Do you have any incite to this issue? I knew they were expensive maintenance vehicles and was prepared for that but not ready to drop 7K when I just bought it for less than that. Any comments/suggestions would be very helpful. I live in Parker CO and I hear your the best resource for good information. I need a referral for a good land rover mechanic for Disco 2. Truck was sent to Superior Engines for rebuild by previous owner. I also took the truck there because of warranty. They didnt truly fix the problem. Need a good mechanic reference. Thank you.
