Help! 89 RRC handle broken off liftgate. Any one have an idea how to open rear windscreen without it? Apparently mechanism inside is not functioning properly. I need to remove headliner for repair and I gotta get this thing open!

Hello! I have a 89 RRC. The liftgate handle broke off and I cannot open liftgate. Any suggestions how to oopen this without breaking anything? I need to get it open to remove my headliner.
