Cool!! did you have fun?
Took my new girlfriend and her 13 y/o boy. She prefers the more refined ride, the arctic a/c, and the sunroof over her jeep, a 1996 Cherokee Sport v6.

Montauk was fogged in and got foggier by the hour. I was very happy my Hella 500s worked to cut thru the soup when it was time to return..At times, visibility was down to 5 feet.

Gone from home 29 hours. Slept 2.5 hours.

Drove 759 miles total to lead a trail at the LR National Rally.

Denver to Montrose.
Montrose to Black Bear Pass (photo) to Telluride.
Telluride to Imogene Pass to Ouray.
Ouray to Montrose.
Montrose to Denver.

I was actually awake 16 hours previous to my departure to work last Thursday.

But here is the ubiquitous posed photo above Telluride on Black Bear Pass.

Oh yeah... got to say hi to Funrover for a minute... but he was having a short rally also... and had to leave.

Anyway... it was one of BB's first trips there... so of course I took some pics:D

i went to the national rally! i saw you there todd. you looked alright considering the massive lack of sleep. must have been that big cup o coffee you had in your hand! driving 1100 miles through the mountains with 33s and stock gears is no fun.
Arsell,

I wish I could have ridden with you on a more challenging trail! After the hours I've put into school I can fake awake with the best of them! The Coffee didn't hurt either!

I've got those stock gears... but a trick up my sleeve in the LT230!

Next time we will hit a tough trail together!

I did Kelly Flats earlier this year, it was fun.

I'll just have to check the family schedule, I know this weekend is no good.

Did you do the chutes?

No.

We had some great carnage though. One testosterone induced flop, etc. Lots of body damage I wasn't in the mood to face that day. Although my rig in the hands of the previous owner had done it, I think it's much more dug out than in the past.... as some of the locals were saying.

There were rock buggies playing in it though!
