Brake Noise

I get home from work, park in the garage, shut the Disco down for the night, and get out of the truck. As I am walking by the driver's side front wheel, I notice a squeal coming from the wheel.

I have done between 20 and 30 brake jobs in my day, but I have never heard a car make a sound like that after the engine has been shut off. My question is what could make a sound like that?

I'll rip everything off tomorrow morning to see what's the matter, but I was hoping for a couple of clues from reliable sources. Thanks!

As far as I know only a tire leak or a dying mouse can make that noise.
Let us know what you find.

Ripped everything apart over the holiday to find that the passenger side front caliper carrier had one frozen slide pin. It explains the one pad that went to metal with the other three at half-wear. Trying to find a good used one today to get everything put back together.

Since it was over the holidays, and I didn't have time for AB to mail me anything, I bought pads and rotors at my local Autozone. They look better than the parts I got from AB the last time. And with a lifetime warranty on a $24.00 set of front pads, I think I will be money ahead. :)

Strange squealing noise has not been solved unless it was water boiling between the rotor and pad. I have gotten used to the shuttle valve clicking after the car has been shut off.
