I’m interested to learn the realities of converting a 1990 Defender from right hand to left hand steering. Any and all input would be appreciated. I’m a car and truck guy but have never had a rover.

It's doable but a timely task to include extending wire/cable assemblies.

Is it a case of you not wanting to drive RHD in the states? I had my RHD '67 Jaguar 420 shipped to the US from the UK and drove it around Los Angeles when I was stationed in the area. It took a while to get used to cautiously driving a RHD car on the right side of the street but it can be done. Hell, I'm driving a LHD Disco here in the UK.
Remember, the USPS postal drivers do it daily in their RHD vans. lol
