Unhappy Problem with Front Heated Windscreen

Hi

I have Freelander 2 SE 2008 Model, and since the recent cold weather when I put the heated front windscreen on, it is not demisting the windscreen fully across the screen. What I am seeing is large streaks of condensation down the screen in places rather than the full demisting. The only way to clear the screen is of course to put the hot air blowers on to clear the screen. There are no cracks or large chips in the screen, I am just asking whether this is common fault and how it can be solved or does it need to have the entire windscreen replaced?

Thanks

I owned a beloved 2003 NAS Hippo with the Pilkington heated wind screens and as some point the windscreen when frosted over would only partially defrost. In my case somewhere on the windscreen the heat wire broke , probably in several places. If the heated screen comes on when you press the button. it is not the fuse or the wiring to the switch or windshield. I would then replace the entire windscreen as it would be impossible to repair otherwise. Good luck and happy Land Rovering!
