You cannot wish away the basic fact that to raise the car you have to increase the air pressure in the suspension. The increased air pressure will cause a significant increase in the harshness of the ride. People just need to drive on a rough road with their tyres at 25psi and then at 35psi to see what changes in air pressure will do to your ride.

This image posted by Johnson Rods on this forum shows just how much they stuff up any wheel travel. One front wheel is completely off the ground and the other front wheel has not moved up at all.

The independent suspension does this on all of the models even without a lift installed. It has not been a problem with the lift but the added height is helpful off road.
The people who actually use it are very happy with the results. The picture you showed was a L405 and he takes his vehicle off road in Colorado on some very tough trails and the lift has helped him.

The best way to go forward is to actually have the wheels on the ground to supply traction. To say that a standard range rover has no wheel articulation is clearly false. The picture shows that with all the front weight on one wheel and no weight on the other (off the ground) that the wheels are at the same ride height. This means that your device has taken away all wheel articulation. As well as loss of traction it will give a very bad ride off road as the main body of the vehicle will be moving to the changes in the track rather than just the wheels.
