Maximum height??

Hi guys, I found this sentence in a recent review: “Ground Clearance: Normal height: 210mm. Off-road 2 height: approx 250mm. Off-road 1 height: 284mm. Up to 70mm beyond 284 through Extended and Super Extended modes.”
This means that in case I need I can go up to 354mm ??
Thanks

You can select off-road heights 1 and 2 via the "up" suspension button. Off-road 1 is good up to 50mph. From off-road 1 you can select off-road 2 by pressing the console button again. That's good up to 31mph, and the suspension height will adjust automatically between them per the speed.

Extended mode is automatic only, and only activates when the vehicle gets grounded, you're driving in deep water, and/or it detects you're driving in narrow ruts. From Extended mode, press the brake and hold down the "up" suspension button for more than 3 seconds to activate Super Extended mode.

Yes, I do take it off-road.

Hi DieselRanger, thank you for the information, now I understand.
It’s a little bit disappointing that it’s not possible to go in super extended mode manually, maybe if I know in advance that I’m going to tackle a very difficult passage I could prepare the suspension to its maximum height. But probably if JLR engineers decided this way means that it has to be like it is.

I'm sure there will be eventually. It just takes time to get the capability in our hands. I remember when the LR3's came out and we couldn't do anything with there suspension at first either.

I've read that people will "trick" the vehicle into extended mode by staging the jack or a tree stump or something similar under a jack point, then attempt to lower into access height. When the vehicle strikes the object, it will lift into Extended Mode. From there you access Super Extended as described.

Probably less damaging than grinding over a trail obstacle....

Yes, I do take it off-road.
