Swap out Auto Trans to Manual Gear Box on 02 Disco 2

I have been trying to find the post a guy made about swapping a auto to manual gear box on a Discovery 2.
I am looking for all the necessary parts from a pedal box to the actual gear box but also any suggestions as far as what the best gear box would be for a Cummins diesel conversion.
The automatic gear box would probably not have the correct ratios for a 4 cylinder turbo diesel to get the most benifit from the torque and be at the correct RPM for highway speeds.
Before I buy a Cummins I will try to get some advice from them but if anyone has already installed a Cummins R2.8 I would really like to know how it is working for them.
I know of one person who has one in a Land Cruiser but it had a standard gear box to start with.

Any knowledge out there that will be useful?

I dont know much about how to mechanically set this up but that's not the major issue. What i know for sure is that if you want to keep the dashboard in working order as to have all the gauges and warnings working you need to know exactly what to do with the electronics and that's not easy at all cos the D2's instruments are managed by the engine ECU which you'll have to let there and it needs compatible crank sensor and coolant temp sensor signals otherwise the rev counter and temp gauge will not work also due to a missing engine speed input the SLABS ECU and ACE(if fitted) will go to default as well... Beside that the air conditioning is managed by the original ECU too.

My friends call me Fery

if you think my english is peculiar it means you didnt hear my japanese

ALL MY ADVICES ARE BASED ON MY OWN KNOWLEDGE AND MY WAY OF UNDERSTANDING THE DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION OF SYSTEMS... I'M NOT A LAND ROVER TRAINED SPECIALIST JUST AN ADDICTED ENTHUSIAST.

The Cummins R28 comes with all the adapters for ECU, they supply the connectors and a new throttle pedal as well.
The Land Rover Discovery ECU can be modified also to accept the manual gear box, I have located companies that are able to provide those solutions but the fellow that had done a auto to manual swap did have a Discovery with a manual box to pull the bits from which I don't so I have to source all the mechanical components and the hydraulics, what I was hoping to see from his posts was what other complications as far as fitting the bits and if he outlined the whole process.

Another option is buying a TDV6 Disco 3 with a manual box and even the V6 diesel but that means bring one over from the UK probably but there is a company that sells a conversion for Range Rover p38 and Discovery 2 in the UK that does address the electronics. My goal is to use the Cummins Engine as it would be a much stronger engine and be more reliable than a Land Rover engine plus it is a very straight forward swap designed for the soul purpose of solving gas to diesel conversions in SUV's.Cummins developed the engine so those wanting a Cummins wouldn't be trying to adapt engines that were for industrial use or engines far to heavy for the vehicle, its a very nice set up. To get the same power and torque using Land Rover engines you would have to use the TDV6 which has issues with the crank breaking and has might even have more torque than a older Disco or Range Rover can handle.
