2008 Land Rover LR2 Electrical Issues

a 2008 Land Rover LR2 has been running fine Then after a hard rain Beganto have electrical problems. It wont start (nothing happens at all when pressing the ignition button) No dash lights Windows don't work but the radio and seats and door locks work. The owner said that his mechanics said it needs a new fuse box. Has any oneever heard of needing a fuse box? Is that a possible fix?

I haven't heard that on a LR2 BUT it certainly is a possible fix on a D2. I had crazy electrical problems and changed my passenger compartment fuse panel...fixed everything except my blown headgasket... not that I expected it to fix the head gasket. lol

How did you know that was the problem? Was it easy for them to figure out? Was it crazy expensive?
Thanks

My reccomedation would be to get a cheap auto fuse tester or a multimeter and check the underhood fuse box. It's easy to access. The starter fuse and relay live in there, not 100% sure on the windows (easy enough to check the fuse diagram in the owners manual). Could just be a blown fuse or relay.
