Coil pack screws won’t tighten all the way

Hi. This regards a 2004 D2. Trying to tighten the coil pack, screws grip somewhat but won’t lock down tight. Aside from relocating the coils, is there a technique I should try?

Figured this out. I used longer screws. Instead of the recommended M6 x 12mm flange screws, I used M6 x 16mm. This allowed the screw to grab some threads.

The hole that these go into doesn’t bottom out, it’s open all the way through. I suppose, conceivably, you could get a nut on the other side. If the longer screws didn’t grab, my plan B was to push an even longer screw up from the bottom and put a nut on the top. Pretty sure that’s doable, but challenging due to the cramped space.
