i'm enamored with the UK version of LR3/4 which says DISCOVERY in big chunky letters on the hood. i want that.
i hopped on ebay and ordered the 2005-2015 letters, but it's clear that they're designed for a much more curved hood. i'm fairly sure that they're actually for 2017+ US discovery model.
rather than throwing another $16 into the cheap inaccurate abyss of china, has anybody done this? if so, can you direct me to the parts source?
i'd also like to upgrade the SE7 letters on my quarter panels to the bigger chunkier 2004 style, but i can only find them in silver on ebay.
while i'm at it, the rear door needs to be done too...
i hope that somebody else has crossed this bridge?
FWIW, the 2003 has the thick/raised decal letters, not the flush vinyl like older discoveries.. but the 2004 has friggin burly letters maybe 5-6mm thick.

worst part is trying to find the high relief SE7 letters for the side. I can only find one seller on the entire internet who has them, and only has them in brunel metallic at $51 each.
i'll be damned if i'm paying north of $100 for the wrong color, as i don't know how well painting them would do.
well.. the "3D car stickers for discovery2/3/4..." arrived yesterday.
exact same garbage i got from ebay, the outermost letters are significantly skewed/slanted to match (what i'm assuming is) the hood line from the discovery 5.
my "Proper Spec Land Rover Discovery 3/4" lettering kit sold by Lucky8 seems much better.
the photo below compares the disco5 lettering to the "Proper Spec" lettering
While the template containing the Proper Spec lettering is much less precise and i wouldn't consider using it on an LR3... i don't think i could use it on a d2 anyway.
i'll fit them this weekend and post pics... i'm assuming somebody cares
While the Proper Spec hood kit was nice, it was very low quality, and I lost the Y a few weeks after install
I ordered the more expensive set from powerfuluk and they’re much more attractive. Plus, the D3 hood template was bendable to match the D2 hood line. I feel like the ashesive is much sturdier on the powerfuluk set, and the letters laid down flatter. I’m happier with this set:
