Rear Locking Diff Removal from CCf?

Hi - I have a locking diff that is problematic. It's not that it needs a rebuilt per se, but the spring/clutch/position pin no longer operate properly. We think someone who owned it before pulled the locating/position pin our causing the thing to unwind and not longer be tensioned.

It's throwing errors - and has been diagnosed (and I already replaced the motor).

Thing is, I don't need a locking diff - rather I just need the error to disappear.

Is there anyway to remove the diff from the CCF but NOT lose the HDC programs? (which I did using my GAP tool then had a panic attack trying to put it back).

Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if the module has permanent outputs that do resistance checks each time. Does it make any noise when your turning or putting it in reverse and drive? You might have to just find yourself a used diff from a broken car to put in there.
