255/55/R19 vs 275/55R19

From what I have read on this site, recommendations for 19 on a lr3 not modified are 255/55/R19. But I been shopping and tire rack and other sites say that 275/55/R19 will fit just fine. Can any one confirm or deny this. Thanks for any and all help/advice.

255/55/19 is the right size. Going to 275 would be rather wide, and without adjusting the aspect ratio, your speedometer would be inaccurate. Also, the sidewalls would balloon out a little, fuel economy (misnomer if there ever was one) would suffer and they would probably wear faster. Is there a reason why you want wider tires?

No reason just looking for something different without having to mod and need new ones any way. Guess I will be sticking to the reg size don't need to mess around.

Thanks for that link, looks like I am staying stock size since I have no intention to off road any time soon.
