The G4 looks awesome! The Porter Cable polishers are great but a bit heavy if you're doing it every day. I plan on replacing mine with a Makita which are way lighter, when the PC wears out, but I fear it never will...

Thanks. We need to have a CT get together one day. I was up in your neck of the woods yesterday. Did a run near Voluntown.

Can you breakdown how you did that? That's freaking amazing! I have to do that to my black range rover...

Check this site out for some good videos: Paintcare & Detailing - Enthusiasts guide to detailing

I basically learned from watching a few videos on there.

My steps on this truck were:

-Wash
-Clay
-Polish at speed 6 using an orange pad and Menzerna Super Intensive Polish
-Light polish with Optimum Poli Seal on a white pad @ speed 4.
-Opti Seal by hand

You could layer a nice carnuba over the opti seal But it needs to cure for 12 hours before you do. Not necessary, but it will add some depth and warmth to the color.

They were getting beat up. You can see in the pictures where I put a good scratch in one.
