1989 RRC rebuild project

Was given the opportunity to pick up a 1989 SWB with 179K on it.
The good- it is only 2 miles away from me.
The bad- Will need a complete engine rebuild- minimum bad head gasket, worst case slipped sleeve. It has been sitting for 4 years, so I am sure there will be a lot of stuck parts- (underneath the baked on bird dung). Would not turn over.

It needs the headliner done, the interior is relatively clean but missing some trim. It has one good tire- the spare.

Rust has started in the passenger side wells, the rocker frames are there, but feel a little soft., but compared to my sons it has a lot less rust.

It does have a few nice mods. The owners are emotionally attached, but I feel I would be doing them a favor just getting it out of their driveway.

Please convince me I don't need to do this, and let me know if you are interested in it.

Rob
