New to site, so I apologize if I miss anything here.

I have 03 Disc S, 85K Mi. Last week the engine started to not turnover when running hot. I would have to wait 5-10 minutes then would run fine, no issues at the start or end of the day.

Went to two ind garages, but they will not work on the vehicle until the issue becomes more permanent. Got a mile from shop and vehicle shut off today. Again 5-10 minutes and it started up. Live in Atlanta and want to avoid their proposed resolution of fixing once the car is on the side of I-75.

There are no warning lights (no error codes reading) on and voltage appears to be fine (had checked at both shops). That being said, I have seen prior posts regarding this and most seem to point to a crankshaft sensor? If this was the case would the check engine light come on? Any thoughts on work I could have done preemptively to resolve.

Would appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

Thanks

Watched video, gave it a try, but think my hands are too fat to maneuver. Nonetheless, looks like a small investment for peace of mind. Will follow-up in day or two if this resolved the issues. Appreciate the follow-up.

Issue Fixed

Sorry for the delayed response, was out of town for past few days.

Nonetheless, I had the crankshaft position sensor replaced and my Disco is back on track. No issues turning over (hot or cold). Cross my fingers but everything appears back on track.

Appreciate the follow-up/support.
