This is a new project. 1972 Land Rover Series 2 (or so says the title). Frame? Your guess is as good as mine but I assume shortened Isuzu pickup frame. Engine and 4WD transmission definitely Isuzu. Disc brakes in front, drum in rear. Someone must have been awfully bored. However, it has promise because it does have the aluminum body which is largely complete and I like to play at restoration.

So - I assume the original frame for this dodgy little bugger is not obtainable. Anyone have any suggestion on another frame to use were I to replace this somewhat buggered one?
I think I can source a later model 200 tdi?

Anyway, laugh if you want! I like it.

If you want to spend the money new galvanized frames are available. Check the usual places, Rovers North and Atlantic British. Or keep an eye out on Craigs List in the west or south west. Chances are a used frame will be pretty rusty. Check the front horns where the bumper and spring mounts are and the outriggers.

I wouldn't bother, you would just need too much to get it restored properly. The Isuzu stuff has ruined any chance of restoring it for a realistic cost.

I would just run it as is, Isuzu 4wd's are actually very good, just try to get the breakfast (rad support) back to normal and you could have nice LR Hybrid.

Or use it as a donor for a Series II,IIA or III with a solid chassis and drivetrain and beat up body.
