1990 RRC, new fuel pump, fuel filter.
Newer ignition wires, distributor cap cleaned.

have fuel pressure at rail, have spark at plugs we pulled to check
coil is grounded well too.

Is there a cps on a 1990 rrc? on my cars that would be the first suspect..

Any hints or thoughts on getting this going

fixed it

found that the ignition coil side wire had been swapped to the wrong side when my son cleaned up the rust around the coil mount. While cranking, heard a spark at the coil as it grounded out. Glad nothing fried.

good mistake- in the repair process, we found that the drivers side bank of spark plugs were in bad shape- replaced all with new

the fuel pump electrical was shorting out- now has a new fuel pump.
replaced fuel filter, which drained out a cup of rusty fuel upon removal.

All together, it was a nice tune up for a truck in need.
