I'm 3 weeks into owning a 1991 RRC. Last night my alternator belt busted and limped home. Bought a new one this afternoon and for the life of me can't figure out how to get it on. I've looked at the repair manual, Internet etc for tips but can't find direction. I've loosened the bolt on the connecting rod and the front bolt anchoring the alternator at the bottom of the unit to try to get some give. But to no avail. I'm sure most of you can do the swap in your sleep. Please don't judge!!! Any help appreciated.

Figured it out. Loosened the end of the connecting rod and was able to move the alternator enough to slide on. A little antifreeze leaked out when I loosened. Sure that will lead to another repair.
