I found a 1996 Land Rover disco for $7,900. I love land rovers and i am 18, I think this would be a good one for a first time land rover owner. My dad is obsessed with his corvettes, my mom loves her Jag and I think land rovers are the most beautiful and intricate vehicles! You don't look at one and think used land rover, you think well traveled Land Rover! There is a mystique I love. Would this be a good jumping off point. I looked at used mercedes but I still love landrovers. I know a great place to have them repaired and the engines are just old gm buick engines so couldn't my dads corvette restorer work his way around it? What are the drawbacks. Most likely things to go wrong?

if you have to repair and restore the engine...it's definaly not worth 7900....i bought my 97 disco in great condition, the body and the engine....for 6000...and that's because it already had off road tires and upgraded sound system....blue book around 5300 for mine i think it was


but work on that deal...get the price down...and definatly buy the land rover....then show me some muddy pics of it :drive:
