My first posting, not my first time using the forum. Great work guys. Multiple electrical glitches all over one weekend. We have owned the truck for 5 years, never having the trouble. I cannot accept that all the glitches are related, but, truck started and ran fine, but no speedo reading at all, followed by a loss of ignition power and obvious dead stop. On instant restart, all worked fine. Incidental events, intermittent back light on stereo controls. Suggestions please. Is there a single connection point somewhere in the harness that I should check, could the Vehicle Speed Sensor affect the balance of these systems. Truck has a car starter. Could any portion of that malfunctioning affect these systems? Please help.

Could it be a bad ground?

One of the grounds is behind the battery (on the wheel well), the other ground is on the DS cyl head (between engine and firewall) and I can't remember where the third ground is...

That's on a D1....
