Hello, I have a 4.6 engine for sale.
It does NOT have secondary air injection.
73,500 miles on it.
It was removed from a running 1999 Range Rover.
Bosch/Thor model with intake/exhaust manifolds.
I personally heard it run, and it was smooth and quiet.
Since this did not come out of a Discovery, you don't have to worry about defective factory machine work destroying the oil pump.
I paid $1500 for it, but don't have a truck to put it in anymore, so I want it gone.
My price is $900 plus shipping. Best price you will find with miles this low.
Located in Boise, Idaho
It's stored up on a high shelf in the shop, so I need to dig it out and get a few pictures. Some pestering on your part will help get me motivated!

Would this fit the Disco II? I am very interested
Yes, it will drop right in a Disco 2 as long as your disco DOES NOT have secondary air injection.

If your Disco does have secondary air injection, then you would have to use your existing cylinder heads or source a set of heads with air injection ports.

So either way, the engine can be put in your truck. Swapping heads would allow you to put in new head gaskets at the same time, which is good preventative maintenance on these vehicles.

Let me know if I can provide any further specifics.
