95 lwb 4.2l.

left headlight went dead. right is fine. all running lights fine. no high beam on both.

i switched bulbs right to left and no joy. then pulled connector and tested...

got only 7 volts on low beam. ground was fine.

i opened as much as i could on wire harness and wire seemed fine. it was blue with a pink tracer.

checked fuses...all fuses fine 10 amp.

i am basically getting low voltage on only one light....

all other electrical strong, right light wire recorded 13+volts.

im a bit stumped here....

it seems wiring loom goes into firewall...and i lose it there.

fuses for both right and left are fine.

i assume power goes to switch on steering column then is sent to fuses then goes to the lights.

if i assume power if fine to switch since right side is working.....and fuses are fine then somehow the trouble part is from the fuse to the light left front.

maybe ill run a separate 16ga wire out to the light and see if that works on low beam .

what i cant understand is why im getting only 5-7 volts on the left side only.

To follow up I ran a new 16 ga wire to the bulb...top socket is low beam left side is ground and right side is high beam....now it works fine and get over 13 v to bulb....I still don't know why only 7 volts except maybe bad wire internally...it's blue with pink tracer fyi
