Ok I'm brand new here and this is my first post. Anyways I just purchased a 96 disco with 196k. The seller told me the front end makes some noise. Didn't take me long to realize that the front shock bushings were completely toast. I'm not looking to replace the shocks since its going to get a lift the next 3 months. I was hoping someone here could help me out and measure their bushings both top and bottom so I can order them from energy suspension. I would measure mine but there isn't enough left to get an accurate measurement. I need inside diameter, outside diameter, and thickness. Thank you in advance.
If you're going to install a lift why not just get some rubber ones? They'll last a long time and new shocks come bushings. I'm sure someone on the forum probably has takeouts from a lift install they'd send for the cost of postage.
Well I haven't had much luck finding stock rubber ones. I need something to get it to pass inspection. I was going to go with energy because we can get there stuff pretty cheap thru my employer. But if anyone does have some takeoff let me know. I'll gladly take them off your hands.
