ive owned my disco for about 10 years now bought it new in 1996. I've bin having problems with the starter. Every once and awhile it decieds to lock up on me and i cant get the truck started. has any else had this problem and what can be done about it?
96 Rover Like everyone has been saying use some lube goes a forever long way. I carry some WD40 in the glove box. Might try some lithium grease and see how that works. It is better than replacing the ignition. It now rarely happens to me.
I have heard Rover stories of engines lasting up towards 400,000mi. Oil changes, plugs, wires, belt, valve job, trany fluid changes, considering all these are done routinely.
