I have a 97 Disco, and recently it has started just dying for no reason. The tank is full of gas, and there are no funny noises, it just stops, usually when I am braking or at a stop sign. Has anyone else had this problem?

Air lines cleaning, throttle plate cleaning.
Ignition tune up?
Fuel filter?
Stepper motor (IAC) cleaning?
Flooding injectors?
Fuel temp sensor?
Coolant temp sensor?
Air flow sensor?
Fuel pump dying?

One or all of above.

Dying Disco

Thanks for the replies.

The check engine light is not on, and we just had it serviced so we are not sure what the problem is. I guess I will have to call the rover dealer.

Stalling at stop signs

Hello I was looking for stalling info for my 95 disco and saw your problem. I had an 87 classic that would stall after it warmed up but only after I drove at a constant speed mostly stalled at stop sighns and light after I got off the hughway. Any way it turned out to be the tranny. clutch material from automatic clutches. I asked if i should do a tranny service but my mechanic said it would make it worse because all the material would come out with the fluid. Check the tranny fluid.
