I have a 98 discovery with 131,811 miles. Just changed the TPS. Ra fine for a week. Now its back to the same old crap. Seems like its dying when I floor it sometimes. It always idles high at the start, 2k for about 3 minutes or more if i let it.

I have codes p1147 Purge valve and p0451 tank pressure. I used to get p1177 and p1178 every once in a while.

I cleaned the IAC with no changes.

Plugs and wires are new. I checked the fuel trim, its at -16.5 LTFT and -15 to -25 STFT at idle. So its rich?

Could this be a mass air flow sensor? If I unplug the sensor, it starts and idles better and runs better on the freeway but has little power. It is just noticeably better when the MAF is disconnected. I cleaned it with sensor cleaner at $10 a can with no changes.

TPS readings are jumping from 4.7-5.1 at idle, just like my old broken one.
MAF reads around .011 at 2k idle and .08 at lower speed idle.

Any tips?
