While driving back from Nova Scotia this week my ABS light came on and then after about twenty miles my traction control light followed by the decent control light. I pulled over and then found a suitable spot to run checks by speeding up and slamming on the brakes. The ABS seemed to work just fine. After finding a good place to check the D.C. and T.C. everything seemed to work just fine. Has any one had this happen? It seems these systems are all linked through the ABS system. Hopefully it is just a sensor. Any ideas from the gang will be greatly appreciated. :drink1: :drink1: :drink1: :drink1:

Before running my "checks" I went all around the brake system to look for leaks or loose hoses, connections, and components. Everything looked as it should.
It was a huge pain in the arse for me back when I first bought my 2000 Disco.
I have the same rig you have. Alveston/Grey leather
anyhow, you cleared the lights by stopping and putting it in park and shutting it off.
But eventually the lights will stay on, and the ABS will stay off as well.

You have faulty wheel hub sensors.
This should still be covered by Land Rover. The next tim eth elights come on, bring it in to LR dealership and tell them what the deal is and ask if Land Rover is still replacing the sensors at "ther" cost.
They run about 100 bucks a wheel.

Let me get this straight, you cleared the lights by putting it in park and turning the truck off? :confused
Yep, that's typical of LRs.

BTW, I came back on Sunday from ME, which route do you take up to NS? Did you take the ferry from Bar Harbor?

The "Cat" ferry is awesome!
Big bucks but it must be cool. The PR group was planning on going to NS this fall, maybe I'll drive up and take the ferry.

The ABS comes on and goes off all the time in my 2001, never had the TC or DC come on though. :confused

I drove up to Portland and spent the night to party then went up rt. 1 to rt. 46 then to US 9 all the way to Calais, across the St. Croix River to St. Stephen then to St. John, across the Bay of Fundy on the Princess of Arcadia to Digby then on to Annapolis and Parkers Cove. Did some exploration further north (much further). My old man has a campground (the only one on the Bay of Fundy) in Parkers Cove so I spent a couple of days tearing around on the John Deere Gator and raising hell and delivering fire wood to the campers and drinking good old Canadien beer!! Needless to say it was torture coming back to Jersey City after being up north; moose, eagles, fresh scallops and halibut every night, 6 percent beer (and gasoline at 1.05/liter, ouch). 1250 mile round trip. :buttrock: :buttrock:
