96 disco. PO installed aftermarket heated seat elements in the manual seats and wired them directly to the battery. Concern is if I forget to turn them off before I get out of the truck they will drain the battery. How and where would I hook them up so they turn off and on with the ignition switch?

You could relay them using a keyed power to control the relay using a standard Bosch relay. Only 4 connections and no need for a switch although a switch may not be a bad idea.

1 Power wire from battery
2 power wire to seat heater elements
3 key on power of your choice
4 ground wire

If you choose to switch it I would switch the ground circuit with a standard 2 terminal switch
