Well, I actually had time to do some odd jobs today..

Decided to adjust my steerin gwheel because it was offcenter. So, if you have tried, it's pretty tough to get the steering wheel off the shaft, i usually undo the nut, then put my knees behind the sides fo teh wheel, apply a lot o fpressure, while hitting the end of the shaft with a hammer. So I got it off, and went ofr a drive with it half on, so i could drive, adjust, and continue driving.

One time I accidentally pushed it on too far and had to do the technique toget it off again. All was fine until it came off easier than expected, legs went and SNAPPED OFF both the headlight switch and the rear wiper switch. :(
:complain:

Well, it was rather funny, I was thinking to myself, this is why I don't usually worry about cosmetic details, they just cause more headaches in teh long run.

Anyone have a spare headlight switch or rear wiper switch they could sell me?

I hope I read your statement wrong :dunno: ... but I thought you could adjust the alignment of the steering wheel while aligning the front end... (from below) :confused

I don't understand why you would have to drive around with the steering wheel off...

Good luck with the repairs.
It wasn't a matter of the car not tracking straight, it was a matter of the steering wheel being put on not straight, when I replaced it. I was only on my street, and i was driving with it on, just not with the nut on so I could take it off and center it, and it was only up and down my driveway. I had to drive in order to get itso it is precisely center when driving straight.
