Has anyone removed or (preferably) had their passenger side airbag temporarily deactivated?
I have a friend with a '99 Series 1 Disco who needs to be able to put a child seat up front.

Thanks,

Remove a fuse?

Probably, but that would likely disable both airbags, which is not the desired outcome.
Thanks for the thought though...

There is a pair of wires that go to the bag itself. If a switch was installed to disconnect those, then the bag would be dead- after several minutes when the built in capacitor dies. There's no elegant way to do that conversion.

Kind of what I thought. I wasn't expecting something as clean as a keyswitch like many trucks have, but hoping it would be something easily reversible as my friend plans to eventually sell in favor of a newer model with more seating.

Thanks for the reply.
