I've got an 04 se7. Picked it up about two years ago and I'm not sure the alarm has ever worked. I had some other mechanical type things to take care of so I didn't worry too much about it but I'm finally wrapping things up and this is next on the list.

The outside lights flash when locked and unlocked with both the key and the fob but the dash light has never flashed to show it's armed. There is also no audible arming noise but I'm not sure if that's normal or not. I've accidentally pushed the lock button on the fob while in the car and been able to open the doors from the inside with no alarm. I don't have any blown fuses either. Any ideas?

The alarm will only sound of you open a door or the hood. And it will honk once for fault if one is open. Have a door open and lock. Then get in and shut the door and it should set. Then pull the hood release. It should set the alarm off
