Just completed the CDL on my 2003.

I will tell you, it is not easy and is very time consuming. The issue is that our trucks are at least 10 years old and the crossmember bolts, exhaust bolts (both at muffler and headers) are all frozen and rusted to no end.

Even with the proper tools (torches, impacts, pbblaster it took me about 20 hours this last weekend.

Given I'm not out to set a world record, but ****, it was a marathon weekend.

I am going to add some supplemental information to the great write up by jycsalas found below, including some more photos and tips I found both useful and not.

2003CDLInstall - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.

Thought I would check in, be on the lookout.

Thanks for the heads up, I am about to embark on that journey as well. Did you retrofit the front housing or did you install a transfer case that already had the locking feature?

Update: Posted (Draft 1)

I just finished piecing together my thoughts on the whole installation.

I cannot upload it here without degrading the picture quality, so you can find the write-up and download it here:

Enjoy!!!
