I've seen it done, you just have to relocate the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

Took my front bumper all the way off. Got tons of front clearance all the wya around. Just have a brush guard on right now while I'm saving up for my Safarigard from bumper :clap:

You will LOVE your SG bumper ! But get the skid as it's rough to add it later. I'm sure there's a lot of good ones out there, but the SG has not let me down yet despite the stresses of winching & frequent slamming.

Well, I just did it! I must say, on a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being the easiest, I'd give this a 2.5. what a difference it makes though! I couldn't rationalize spending the dough on a nice SG bumper since I do very little wheeling in this rig. The stuff that I do is mostly up at my cabin going through the woods and a few state trails. This vehicle is used mainly to haul the boat and dogs (unfortunatley) So, looks like I'd be throwing the Hella fogs up on eBay! I'd really just like to install a standard brush guard and be done with it. So, if you have one for a D2 laying around, I 'might' know of a loving good home for it.
