I'm looking at purchasing some tires for my stock Disco II and was wanting to know if anyone has used or is using either the Yokohama Geolander AT Plus II or the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo. One of my main concerns is how they perform in the snow and slick conditions. I'm looking at the 245/70/16 size hoping that size will allow me to use my original spare. Will I have to get a spare in that size as well? 29.1" stock vs. 29.5" for 245/70's. If that won't work then I will go with the 245/75-16's. I looked into General's new Grabber AT2 in the stock size but it is on a national backorder until Sept. Thanks
Anyone using Yokohama Geolander AT II's or Bridgestone Dueler Revo??

I have used Geolander AT II on My Disco I. I loved them!! :clap: They were great. I never did any serious off roading with them though. What I did do they performed great. I have heard great things about the Dueler Revo too. I had the old Dueler and the only reason I didn't like them is because they rode like a rock. But I thing the re-design made that better :dunno: I wanted to go with the 245/70/16 Geolanders, but they were on indefinite back-order. :bawling: Discount Tire thinks there is a run on them. Everyone seems to want them. I will go back with them when my current tires are gone.

I had the Geolanders and other than the tread life I liked them. They were soft on the road. I drove them to the nubs. I think I got 2.75 - 3 years out of them. But they were gone, trash, bald, when I bought my new tires.
I just purchased the Dueler Revos. I am so far pleased with them. They do ride harder than the Geolanders but they are also 8 ply tires. They are a little tougher. They stand tall like the OEM Michelins and I like that.
IF you look at Tirerack.com and look at the performance numbers you will see the Revo's kick ass. They are a Most Popular purchase on nearly every tire site.
That's the main reason I went with them. Quality.
I haven't gotten them offroad yet. But they are good so far on the wet roads.
The price difference is about $200 here in Oklahoma. I could have gotten Yoko's for around $560 and the Bridgestones cost me about $750(US).
(PS don't tell anyone but I still have an original Michelin spare tire.)

I purchased Revos for our Chevy 2500HD 4x4 crew cab. I have been VERY happy with them: great traction summer and winter, decent ride, quiet for an off road A/T, AND after 18000 miles very little wear. They definetly are more expensive, but seem to be a good value. I will put them on our Disco when it needs tires.
When I bought my Disco (with 16" wheels) it still had the GY "wrangler hp's" in the back and were almost gone.Even though they were noticeably worn, they still had a great grip,but really noisy on the hwy.At the front it has a set of GY "forteras" (it came with them when I bought it too).Then I put a set of GY "eagle ls" at the back,they feel like a car, no sound at all, really recommend them.By the way, I don't do off-roading with the truck, just hwy. driving.
