Hey everyone,
I know this is kind of wierd, but i'm looking to get sponsored for my range rover. I'm in a few car clubs and am looking around to get sponsored so I can put some good audio, a new paint job, new interior, video, and possibly get the engine rebuilt and supercharged. I have talked to a few magazines, and they are interested in the truck, but I still need to add things to make it more custom. I have been putting money into my rover, but my funds are starting to dissipate and I still have a lot to do. If anyone is interested please email me at [email protected] or call me at 908 361 1479. This is meant for businesses to get their name out there when i go to shows. I am aware that regular people are not going to give me money for nothing. But businesses will get business if i put their logo or decals on my car and people can see them when i am out, that is what a sponsorship is

To get your ride up to the standard of "Show material" you need to spend like $40,000 + . I don't think you will find any business prepared to invest that much in sponsorship on someone elses vehicle, but I'll give you "A" for effort. :sheep:

Here's an idea: Make an ebay ad that you want to offer advertising space on your Rover. People do it all the time!

I will gladly sponsor you IF, and only IF, you can prove that you WILL have media coverage. I want to help spread the word of this place, so I am down.. But I need something in return... ie: advertisement.

Well, it is a start. Auto dealers proudly put their decal across the back of your car for free. I guess this could work.

I am afraid you need to show this car is more than a daily driver.

I have always refused to take delivery of new cars with the dealer sticker or metal name plate on the back. Just tell them upfront, and if they still prep the truck and stick the plate on ( as they just did w/ my RR ) I take it back to them and tell them to get it off!

Im sorry but i dont see anything overly special about your car, sure you got 22's and the car looks nice, but big car shows and taking best of show or even placing is something i dont see. Yeah little shows here and there, but something that would sponsors attention, NO. I have had a show car, 20k+ (and that is doing most to all the labor myself) invested before, rims, custom body work, paint, full stereo system, suspension, brakes, engine, etc... and not after i have done all that did i even get a look from sponsors, and even that was only 1/2 sponsorship with more stipulation than a WWE wrestling match. yeah i got the small local sponsors, but nothing that would not cost me money. I gotten many 1st place trophys, best of show, media's choice, and even won a nactional IDRC Evo car car best of class, but like i said you are going to be hardpress Unless you got major hook up with a shop owner and already is in the dorr, i'm gonna say your hard press for REAL sponsorship.
Like i said i'm not talking smack, i got a Disco on 22's and some subs but i know i'm not going to get anything more than local small sponsors, so you might want to start from there.

I have had a few people come up to me and say that, but the thing is, Range Rover's are rare where I am, and the people who have them don't show them because they are older. I have already taken 1st in town shows and little things, like county shows, but have also placed in larger shows. I have been invited to larger shows including Funk Master Flex's invite only which is later this month (i will post pics) and in Sept. Hot Import Night in atlantic city. I have a few local sponsors, but i am looking for larger ones. My car is starting to get featured, I am just trying to get my name out there more, and maybe have someone else get their name out with me. Thanks for the constructive criticism though, anything helps
