'96 P38. Having trouble tracking down why the auxiliary fans won't come on. I have replace all relays (2 green and 1 yellow). Jumped the appropriate connections and the fans do operate, but they will not and have never come to life during normal running conditions or when a/c is on. Truck will heat up when in traffic or stopped.

Also, I have replace coolant temp sensor.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Where is cooling fan switch/sensor located? I have a 96 Discovery and am having the same problem. The auxiliary fans will not come on with high temp or air cond on. I have not yet pulled the fans to see if they operate with 12v applied yet, but they are not frozen.

I've got a 98 RR and I've only heard the engine fans come on one time in 10 years. That was after I shut off the engine at a store. The AC works OK running but stops cooling after idle for 5 minutes.

Last year the water pump was replaced and the thermo gauge, but it has always struggled to cool at idle.
